The purpose of the Mini-Tyke and Tyke Program is to introduce, emphasize and develop the fundamental skills of the game of lacrosse.  The focus of the practices as well as games is to promote and environment that encourages participation, skill development and above all else an enjoyment of the game.

At the end of the season (early July), a special "Tyke/Novice Tournament" is held where teams have an opportunity to attend to play other Tyke teams in Alberta in a fun atmosphere.  Throughout the season, in order to encourage the development of this environment, there will be no standings for Tyke.  "RO" will be displayed in place of a game score to show a game has been played.  Please note that although standings are not kept or posted, standard game results procedures must be followed (ie sending in the scoresheets after each game).
